Electrifying the Goodwood Festival of Speed for bp pulse

Challenge

bp pulse wanted to use their sponsorship of the Electric Avenue space at the Goodwood Festival of Speed to build awareness of the bp pulse brand and create a positive perception of bp. To achieve this we developed a series of fun, hands-on activations that would bring the electrification of the UK to life and educate EV owners on their ‘on-the-go charging network and home charging solutions.

Approach

As well as a branded takeover of the space, we created three tactile experiences that told unique stories of bp pulse’s electric ecosystem.

  • Electrifying Your Life asked visitors to ‘bring charging home’, educating them on the new home charger and rewarding them with a chance to get their hands on the real-life Premier League Trophy.
  • Electrifying Selfie brought electrification to a truly personal level using a vandegraph machine and boomerang gifs to create a  truly hair-raising experience that could be shared with the world.
  • Electrifying the UK challenged the audience to keep up with the rollout of BP Pulse’s ultra-fast charging network in a game of perception and quick- reactions that would have kept any Formula-e driver on their toes.

Results

The experience was a roaring  success with total engagement over the four days reaching almost 10,000 EV enthusiasts.

Our competition to bring the Premier League Trophy to your home garnered almost 500 entries, with over 150 of those opting in to discover more on bp pulse’s home charging solutions. While interest in the on-the-go network delivered 90 downloads of the on-the-go app.
